What (a) total number of new enrolments will each (i) university and (ii) technical vocational education and training college be able to take in 2023 and (b) provisions has his department made for the excess number of students who may not be accommodated at these institutions of higher learning? In the light of the pending and imminent announcement of matric results on January 19, 2023, this question can only be responded to in full once the matric exam results are announced and the department will convene a press conference to announce spaces available in universities and TVET colleges for the academic year 2023.
