Is the Oviston area in the Walter Sisulu Local Municipality surveyed; if so, (a) what number of erven are registered, (b) what number of the registered erven are registered as (i) private and (ii) in the name of the State and (c) under which state department are they registered? NW1265E

Yes, the Oviston area in the Walter Sisulu Local Municipality is surveyed. Oviston is a township that was approved as a Deduction Plan (No. 10062) in 1978 by the Surveyor General: Cape Town (KaapStad), with SG No. 5642/1978.
According to the records of the King William's Town Deeds Office -
(a) There are 319 properties registered.
(b) (i) 296 privately owned
(ii) 23 state owned
(c) 5 - Provincial Government of the Eastern Cape
