(1) Which entities reporting to him (a) have a board in place and (b) do not have a board in place, (i) of those that have a board in place, (aa) when was each individual board member appointed and (bb) when is the term for each board lapsing and (ii) how many (aa) board members are there in each board and (bb) of the board members of each entity are female; (2) with reference to entities that do not have boards in place, (a) who is responsible for appointing the board and (b) when will a board be appointed? (1)(a) The following Entities have a Board in place:
Agricultural Research Council (ARC)
National Agricultural Marketing Council (NAMC)
Perishable Products Export Control Board (PPECB)
(b) Onderstepoort Biological Products (SOC) Ltd does not have a Board in place
Ncera Farms does not have a Board in place
(a) ARC
(aa) Members of the Board were appointed with effect from 1 April 2017
(bb) The term of office of the ARC members will lapse on 31 March 2020
(ii) 16 members
(bb) 5 members are female
(b) NAMC
(aa) All members were appointed 25 May 2017
(bb) The term of office of the Council members will lapse 24 May 2021
(ii) 10 members in total
(bb) 2 members are female
(c) PPECB
(aa) Members were appointed with effect from 1 December 2016
(bb) The term of office will lapse on 30 November 2019
(ii) 10 members in total
(bb) 3 members are female
OBP
2(a) The OBP currently have no Board and the Minister is responsible for the appointment thereof
(b) The Board should be appointed on or before 14 August 2017.
