Meeting report

The Chairperson opened the meeting and noted this was an important day for the Western Cape as they welcomed the 2023 Rugby World Cup winners, the Springboks, to the province.

Members present introduced themselves.

Committee report on the Annual Report of the Department of Social Development

The Committee Secretary briefly introduced the report noting it followed the Committee meeting with the Department in October to deliberate on its 2022/23 Annual Report. The Committee report needed to be adopted to appear in the provincial legislature’s ATC.

Mr C Fry (DA) moved to adopt the report.

Ms N Bakubaku-Vos (ANC) seconded the motion.

The report was adopted.

Committee minutes dated 13 October 2023

A minor amendment was made to the spelling of a Committee Member’s name.

Mr Fry moved to adopt the minutes.

Ms A Bans (ANC) seconded.

The minutes were adopted.

The Chairperson announced the date of the next Committee meeting.

The meeting was adjourned.
