SUMMARY
The Committee recommended minor technical amendments before approving the various reports. Outstanding minutes were not dealt with..

MINUTES
Annual Report (Draft)
The Chairperson sought to clarify the Committee status of members, Mr T Lee (DA) and Dr B Geldenhuys (NNP).It was proposed their names be removed from the register as neither were still members of the Committee.

It was decided to improve the format of the final report and indicate the Committee's annual budget and spending. Other alterations to the document were minor and technical. The document was adopted.

Committee visits to Northern Province, Gauteng and the SACE offices
Members discussed minor changes to the documents prior to adopting them. Mr L Kgwele (ANC) commended the leadership of the various delegations for the commitment and dedication shown during the visits.

Attention was drawn to certain members who were seen to be taking their delegation duties too lightly. The Chairperson recommended the matter be taken up with the members concerned before a formal letter of complaint was submitted by the leader of affected delegations.

Minutes of Committee meetings
The Chairperson pointed out that the minutes not available were those pertaining to the various Billls currently before the Committee.

The Committee discussed the inconvenience of not having all the relevant minutes of meetings. The Chairman explained that a change-over of Committee Secretary was the cause of the problem. The Committeee approved the presented minutes.

The Chairman adjourned the meeting.
