The Portfolio Committee on Public Service and Administration invites you to submit written comments an indicate interest in making oral submission on the Public Service Amendment Bill [B13-2023].
The Bill seeks to:
• amend Public Service Act, 1994 to provide for the devotion of administrative powers from executive authorities to head of department ;
• augment role of the Director-General in the Presidency;
• provide for a mechanism to deal with the recovery of overpayments of remuneration and benefit;
• clarify the role of the Public Service Commission in respect of grievance;
• clarify the role of the President and the Premier in respect of the appointment and career incidents of head of department and provide for matters connected therewith.
