The Select Committee on Health and Social Services, having considered the subject of the Fund-raising Amendment Bill [B29B – 2020] (National Assembly – Section 76), referred to it, reports that it has agreed to the Bill.

 

Process

 

• The Fund-raising Amendment Bill [B29B-2020] was referred to the Committee on the 28 September 2022.
• The Department of Social Development briefed the Committee on 16 May 2023.
• All provinces had briefings and public hearings on the Bill between 24 May and 25 August 2023.
• All Provinces concluded their public hearings by 25 August 2023. All provinces submitted the negotiating mandates on the 05 September 2023.
• The Committee finalised the Bill on 22 September 2023 and adopted it without amendments.
