The Portfolio Committee on Justice and Correctional Services, having considered the request for approval by Parliament of the Draft Notice determining the rate, with effect from 1 April 2019, at which salaries, allowances and benefits are payable to magistrates annually, tabled on 2 March 2020 and referred to it, recommends that the House, in terms of section 12(3) of the Magistrates Act (No 90 of 1993), approves the Draft Notice.
