Report of the Select Committee on Finance on the request to nominate candidates for appointment to the Board of the Land Bank, dated 21 September 2016.
 

The Select Committee on Finance, having considered the request by the Minister of Finance to the National Council of Provinces to nominate suitable candidates for appointment to the Board of the Land Bank, referred to it for consideration and report (ATC, 12 May 2016), reports as follows:

 

The Committee put out a media statement on 9 September 2016, calling for nominations of suitable candidates. The closing date for nominations was 16 September 2016. The Committee received two (2) nominations.

 

After deliberating on 21 September 2016, the Committee recommends, in accordance with Section 4(2) of the Land and Agricultural Development Bank Act, (Act No 15 of 2002), to the Minister of Finance the following suitable candidates for appointment to the Board of the Land Bank:

 

1. Thembeka Semane
2. Leeneshree Pachappa
