Report of the Portfolio Committee on Justice and Constitutional Development on the Regulation of Interception of Communications and Provision of Communication-Related Information Amendment Bill [B9B-2006], dated 22 October 2008:

 

The Portfolio Committee on Justice and Constitutional Development, having considered the Regulation of Interception of Communications and Provision of Communication-Related Information Amendment Bill [B9B-2006] and proposed amendments of the National Council of Provinces (Announcements, Tablings and Committee Reports, 17 September 2008, p1707), referred to the Committee, reports the Bill with amendments [B9C - 2006].

The Committee further reports as follows:

 

While the Committee accepts the amendments proposed by the National Council of Provinces, it nevertheless requests that the Minister monitors and evaluates their implementation and report his findings to Parliament within two years of this report being adopted.
