Oversight visit. The Committee will be visiting the following areas (towns) – East London, King Williamstown, Bhisho, Grahamstown and Port Elizabeth. The objectives of the oversight visit are: To assess the state of tourism in the province; To receive briefings from municipalities on the state of tourism in their metropolitan municipalities; To visit and assess selected Social Responsibility Intervention (SRI) projects such as the: Mdantsane Lodge; Kiwane Campsite; Steve Biko Heritage Trail; Grahamstown Caravan Park; and Motherwell Eco-tourism project; and To visit some of the SMMEs supported through the Tourism Enterprise Partnership (TEP). |
