The overall aim of this oversight visit is, firstly, to create a platform for the Committee to assess the progress and outcomes of specific programmes by the Department of Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities; the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) and the Commission for Gender Equality (CGE) in addressing gender-based violence and femicide (GBVF), gender equality and youth unemployment in Mpumalanga. Furthermore, the Committee is keen to assess the progress of implementation of the Sanitary Dignity Programme for the Province. The Committee will also engage with the Rapid Response Teams which have been established in Mpumalanga Province. |
