THE LEGISLATURE HAS IMPLEMENTED PREVENTATIVE MEASURES TO CURB THE SPREAD OF COVID-19 AND IN LINE WITH THE NATIONAL STATE OF DISASTER DIRECTIVES: ALL PROGRAMMES OF THE LEGISLATURE THAT INVOLVE THE PUBLIC HAVE BEEN SUSPENDED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. THE LEGISLATURE IS ALSO CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC FOR THIS PERIOD.  THE EASTERN CAPE PROVINCIAL LEGISLATURE URGES THE PUBLIC TO ADHERE TO THE NATIONAL LOCKDOWN DIRECTIVES. #STAYHOMESA

 

During the national lockdown, the Legislature continues to serve as a people’s assembly by conducting its committee business via virtual platforms.
