The Committee approved the NCOP proposed amendments to the Judicial Service Commission Amendment Bill.

Judicial Service Commission Amendment Bill: NCOP Amendments
Mr J Jeffrey (ANC) stated that the study group had been briefed by Deputy Minister Johan de Lange on the NCOP’s proposed amendments to the Judicial Service Commission Amendment Bill.
He asked for a mover for adoption of the Bill as amended by NCOP. Mr G Magwanishe moved, Ms N Mahlawe seconded, no one was against and a vote took place. Those in favour of Bill as amended by the NCOP being passed, voted and the Bill was passed.
Committee Report on the Child Justice Bill
Mr Y Carrim stated that the Report on Child Justice Bill was ready for discussion and adoption. The Report was read out and minor amendments were made during the reading. The Committee then unanimously approved the Report as the verbal text had been agreed to.
