Draft Committee Programme for the Oversight Visit to the Eastern Cape
The Acting Chairperson opened the meeting and considered the draft programme.

Ms C Ramotsamai (ANC) suggested that the alternative Members of the Committee attend the oversight visit.

Mr J Blanche (DA) informed the Committee that he would not be attending, but Mr S Opperman (DA) would be attending.

Mr Opperman asked that the specific Expanded Public Works Programmes (EPWP) that the Committee would be visiting be listed.

The Acting Chairperson replied that there was a list that contained all the EPWP projects in the area and that it would be sent to the Committee Members.

Mr L Maduma (ANC) suggested that a management committee be formed to deal with the issues regarding the oversight visit.

The Acting Chairperson noted that the Committee adopted the Draft Programme, with the amendments.

Adoption of minutes
The Committee was concerned as it had picked up quite a few inconsistencies in all the minutes that needed to be adopted. The Committee only adopted the minutes for 14 November 2007, 20 February 2008 and the 27 February 2008.

The Acting Chairperson adjourned the meeting.
