SUMMARY
The Committee adopted the Practical Guidelines for Employees in terms of the Protected Disclosures Act, as amended by the inclusion of the contact details of the South African Human Rights Commission and the Commission on Gender Equality.

MINUTES
The Chair stated that she had not received any objections or amendments from Members to the Practical Guidelines on which the Committee had a briefing in the previous week.

Mr L Bassett, Department Chief Director: Legislation, informed the Committee that the only change to the Practical Guidelines was the insertion of the contact details of the South African Human Rights Commission and the Commission on Gender Equality, as proposed by a Member during the previous meeting with the Committee.

The Chair asked whether those were prescribed bodies.

Ms Bassett replied that he was not sure.

The Chair stated that Mr Bassett would check the feasibility of including those bodies.

Committee Report on Practical Guidelines in Protected Disclosures Act
The Chair read out the Committee Report on the Practical Guidelines, to which the Committee agreed unanimously.

The meeting was adjourned.
