SUMMARY
The Magistrate’s Courts Special Petition was not considered because the sponsor was not present at the meeting. The Committee’s budget of over R2 million was approved as presented.

MINUTES
The Chairperson was disappointed that most Members had not attended the meeting. She informed those present that the Committee’s proposed budget had now been accepted. It stood at over R2 million.

The Committee could not consider the Special Petition because the sponsor of the petition was not present. The Chairperson wondered if members of the public knew that they had the right to petition Parliament.

The meeting was adjourned.
