Summary
The Committee elected Ms Fatima Chohan-Kota as the Committee Chairperson. Budget debates were likely to start in the week of 31 May.
Minutes
Ms P Sibisi, the Committee Clerk, asked for Chairperson nominations. Mrs N Mahalwe (ANC) nominated Ms Fatima Chohan Kota and Mr J Delport (DA) seconded this. The Committee unanimously accepted the nomination.
The Chairperson thanked members and asked them to introduce themselves. She said that it was not clear when the Committee would start with the budget debate after State of the Nation Address by the President on 21 May. Budget debates were likely to start in the week of 31 May.
The meeting was adjourned.
