The meeting was briefly delayed as there was no quorum.
The Chairperson welcomed everyone present in the meeting and acknowledged that Members had a lot of work to do in their constituencies. She thanked Members for making time for the Caucus and congratulated Tanzania’s new President, Samia Suluhu Hassan – “as women, we hope that she will get the support she needs”. The Chairperson noted that the Queen of the Zulu nation will be the interim leader. She hoped the women would receive the support they deserved.
