SUMMARY
The Committee adopted the Criminal Procedure Amendment Bill with its amendments.

Minutes
The Committee report on the Bill was circulated among the members. The Chairperson read the motion of desirability for the adoption of the Bill and asked the members if they had objections to the contents of the report.

Mr Mkhalipi (ANC) was satisfied that the content conveyed the sentiments of all the Committee members.

Mr Lever (DA) concurred.

The Chairperson put the whole Bill to the members except for clause 8.

All of those clauses were agreed.

He then put clause 8 as amended, and this was accepted.

The Chairperson noted that the Committee had formally adopted the Bill. He then thanked Mr Johan de Lange (legislative drafter) for all his efforts in assisting the Committee.

The meeting was adjourned
