Meeting Summary
The Chairperson noted that Members had not had time to look over the 2009 Annual Report; therefore, it could not be adopted. The Report would be adopted at the next meeting. The First-term Committee Programme was adopted.
In other matters, the Committees also agreed on the candidates chosen to serve on the National Council on Correctional Services and the Chairperson informed the Committee that a Finnish Delegation would be visiting certain Committees.
Meeting report
Consideration of 2009 Annual Report and 2010 First Term Committee Programme
Mr Mofokeng noted that Members had not had time to peruse the Annual Report. He stated that the Committee would have to adopt the Report at the next meeting.
He asked if Members wanted to make any amendments to the First-Term Committee Programme. He asked Members to note that there were certain oversight visits that had to include both Committees. Members had to indicate to the Committee Secretaries where they would prefer to go in terms of oversight visits.

The Chairperson stated that the Committee seemed to agree with Mr Watson.

Mr Mokgobi seconded the adoption.
The programme was adopted.
Other Committee Matters
Mr Mofokeng stated that there was a list with names of candidates who were going to serve on the National Council on Correctional Services (NCCS). He read out the names and the Committee agreed with the candidates that were chosen to sit on the Council.
