The Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy published the Draft Upstream Petroleum Resources Development Bill, 2019 for public comment.
The Department of Mineral Resources and Energy said the proposed Bill aims to strike a balance between the need to attract investment into the petroleum sector, while also seeking to ensure that the potential of the upstream petroleum industry benefits all South Africans.
Interested and affected parties can submit written representations on the draft Bill to [email protected] by no later than Friday, 21 February 2020
