The Portfolio Committee on Justice and Correctional Services invites you to make written submissions on the Implementation of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court Act Repeal Bill [B23- 2016]
The purpose of the Implementation of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court Act Repeal Bill is to:
▪ repeal the Implementation of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court Act, 2002; and
▪ to provide for matters connected therewith.
The Committee also invites members of the public to comment of the following:
- Instrument of Withdrawal from the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, tabled in terms of section 231(2) of the Constitution, 1996;
- Declaratory Statement by the Republic of South Africa on the Decision to Withdraw from the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court; and
- Explanatory Memorandum on South Africa’s Withdrawal from the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court.
Submissions must be received by no later than 8 March 2017. Please indicate if you are interested in making a verbal presentation. Public hearings will be held in Parliament.
