Finance Standing Committee

The Standing Committee on Finance and the Select Committee on Finance invites you to submit written comments on the Revenue Laws Amendment Bill 2016.

The Revenue Laws Amendment Bill aims to:
• Amend the Income Tax Act, 1962, so as to correct certain provisions;
• Provide for a correction of the calculation of the amount of a deduction in determining taxable income;
• Amend the Taxation Laws Amendment Act, 2015, so as to amend certain provisions;
• Provide for the postponement of the commencement of certain provisions in respect of taxation of retirement benefits.

Public hearings will be conducted at Parliament on Thursday, 3 March 2016 at 14h00 (joint sitting of NA & NCOP) and Thursday10 March 2016 (NCOP)

Please note submissions and request to make oral presentation must be received by no later than 16:00 on Wednesday, 2 March 2016.
