Standing Committee on Appropriations
The Standing Committee on Appropriations invites you to make written submissions on the ESKOM Special Appropriation Bill [B16-2015] and the ESKOM Subordinated Loan Special Appropriation Amendment Bill (2008/09-2010/11 financial years) [B17-2015]. The Bills were tabled in Parliament by the Minister of Finance on 03 June 2015.
The ESKOM Special Appropriation Bill provides for the appropriation of an additional amount of money for the requirements of the Department of Public Enterprises to increase the State’s equity investment in Eskom Holdings SOC Limited. The ESKOM Subordinated Loan Special Appropriation Amendment Bill (2008/09-2010/11 financial years) provides for the amendment of the Eskom Subordinated Loan Special Appropriation Act (2008/09-2010/11 Financial Years), 2008, so as to convert the subordinated loan to Eskom Holdings SOC Limited to shares for the State.
Public Hearings will be conducted in Parliament on Tuesday, 21 July 2015.
