The Civilian Secretariat for Police Service has published the Draft National Policing Policy (NPP), and is asking you to comment.
The development of the National Policing Policy is based on section 206 (1) of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1996 which states that the Minister of Police is responsible for policing, and must determine the National Policing Policy after consulting the provincial governments; taking into account the Provincial Needs and Priorities (PNPs) of the provinces as determined by the provincial executives
