NCOP Appropriations

The Select Committee on Appropriations (National Council of Provinces) invites you to make written and/or oral submissions on the Appropriation Bill [B3 - 2023] The Bill was tabled together with the 2023/24 National Budget by the Minister of Finance on 22 February 2023. The Money Bills and Related Matters Act, No 13 of 2018, requires Parliament to conduct public hearings and to report on all Bills.

The Appropriation Bill seeks to appropriate money from the National Revenue Fund for the requirements of the State for the 2023/24 financial year; to prescribe conditions for the spending of funds withdrawn for the 2024/25 financial year before the commencement of the Appropriation Act for 2024/25; and to provide for matters incidental thereto.

The closing date to make written submissions or indicate your intention to make an oral presentation is at 16:00 on Friday, 19 May 2023. Public hearings on the abovementioned Bills will be conducted

Public hearings will be conducted virtually by the Select Committee on Appropriations on Wednesday, 24 May 2023 at 10:00.
