Standing Committee on Appropriations

The Standing Committee on Appropriations invites you to make written submissions on the 2023 Division of Revenue Bill (the Bill) that will be tabled together with the2023/2024 national budget by the Minister of Finance on 22 February 2023.

The Money Bills Amendment Procedure and Related Matters Amendment Act, No. 13 of 2018, requires Parliament to conduct public hearings and to report on the Bill. The Bill provides for the equitable division of revenue raised nationally among the national, provincial and local spheres of government for the relevant financial year and the responsibilities of all three spheres pursuant to such division;
and provides for matters connected therewith.

Public hearings will be conducted via the Zoom Virtual Meeting platform by the Standing Committee on Appropriations on Tuesday, 14 March 2023. The closing date to make submissions or indicate your intention to make an oral presentation is at 16:00 on Wednesday, 8 March 2023.
