The Department of Mineral Resources and Energy has published the Draft Mine Health and Safety Amendment Bill 2022, and is asking you to comment.
The Bill seeks to amend the Mine Health and Safety Act, 1996, so as to:
▪ streamline administrative processes;
▪ strengthen enforcement provisions;
▪ reinforce offences and penalties;
▪ amend certain definitions; and to provide for matters connected therein
