Have your say on political party funding!

Political party funding is important in the drive to clean up corruption because we do not want political party capture. Parliament is reviewing this now. Currently, all 13 political parties share R150 million amongst themselves in public funding. If one is realistic, is this too little? How open should private funding by individuals and companies be?

Parliament has held public hearings on how political parties must be funded. Only two of the 15 submissions came from individual South Africans. The financing of our political parties will have a direct impact on our political and electoral systems. It is important that Parliament hears the views of ordinary citizens.

Answer this survey and we will send your responses to the Ad Hoc Committee on the Funding of Political Parties.

Make your voice heard.
