NCOP Appropriations
The Select Committee on Appropriations (National Council of Provinces) invites you to make written and/or oral submissions on the Appropriation Bill [B5 – 2024]. The Bill was tabled together with the 2024 National Budget by the Minister of Finance on 21 February 2024. The Money Bills and Related Matters Act, No 13 of 2018, requires Parliament to conduct public hearings and to report on all Bills.
The Bill seeks to appropriate money from the National Revenue Fund for the requirements of the State for the 2024/25 financial year; to prescribe conditions for the spending of funds withdrawn for the 2025/26 financial year before the commencement of the Appropriation Act for 2025/26; and to provide for matters incidental thereto.
The closing date to make written submissions or indicate your intention to make an oral presentation is at 16:00 on Friday, 19 July 2024.
Public hearings on the Bill will be conducted virtually by the Select Committee on Appropriations on Wednesday, 24 July 2024 at 10:00.
