The Select Committee on Women, Children and People with Disabilities, having considered the subject of the Commission on Gender Equality Amendment Bill [B 36 - 2012] (National Assembly – sec 75), referred to it and classified by the Joint Tagging Mechanism as a section 75 Bill, reports that it agrees to the Bill.

The Committee further wishes to recommend that the National Assembly considers providing an opportunity for the National Council of Provinces to become involved in the nomination process of commissioners.
