The Portfolio Committee on Water and Environmental
Affairs, having considered the request for approval by Parliament of the
Access to Genetic Resources and the Fair and Equitable Sharing of
Benefits Arising from their Utilization to the Convention on Biological
Diversity
,
recommends
that the House, in terms of section 231 (2) of the Constitution of the Republic
of South Africa, 1996, approve the said International Agreement.
