The Portfolio Committee on Employment and Labour and thePortfolio Committee on Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development(“the Committees”) were tasked througha House Resolution on 10 November 2020, to conduct comprehensive oversight on the living and workingconditions of farm workers, farm dwellers and farmers and to report to the House on or before 30 November 2021.

However, due to Covid-19 restrictions and other committee work constraints,a request is made for the deadline to report on the matterto be extended until 30 November 2022.
