Report of the Portfolio Committee on Environmental Affairs on the Marine Spatial Planning Bill [B 9B – 2017], dated 28 March 2018.
 

The Portfolio Committee on Environmental Affairs, having considered the Marine Spatial Planning Bill [B 9B – 2017] (National Assembly – sec 75), recommitted to it, reports the Bill with amendments [B 9C – 2017].

 

The amendments read as follows:

 

CLAUSE 10

1. On page 6, from line 26, to omit subsection (4).

2. On page 6, from line 28, to omit subsection (5) and to substitute the following subsection:

            "(4) A decision of the Directors-General Committee, must be made by consensus, and where no consensus is reached, all the proposed options must be presented to the Ministerial Committee for a final decision."

3. On page 6, from line 33, to renumber subsections "(6)" and "(7)" to "(5)" and "(6)" respectively.

 

CLAUSE 11

1. On page 6, from line 58, to omit subsection (4).

2. On page 7, from line 1, to omit subsection (5) and to substitute the following subsection:

            "(4) The final decision made by the Ministerial Committee in terms of this Act, must be made by consensus."

3. On page 7, from line 4, to renumber subsections "(6)", "(7)" and "(8)" to "(5)", "(6)" and "(7)" respectively.
