Report of the Select Committee on Finance on the draft regulations on giving effect to the demarcation between health insurance and medical schemes, made in terms of section 72(2A) of the Long-term Insurance Act, 1998 (Act No 52 of 1998) and section 70(2A) of the Short-term Insurance Act, 1998 (Act No 53 of 1998), dated 29 March 2017.

The Select Committee on Finance, having considered the request for approval by Parliament of the draft regulations on giving effect to the demarcation between health insurance and medical schemes, made in terms of section 72(2A) of the Long-term Insurance Act, 1998 (Act No 52 of 1998) and section 70(2A) of the Short-term Insurance Act, 1998 (Act No 53 of 1998) and submitted to Parliament in terms of section 72(2B) of the Long-term Insurance Act, 1998 (Act No 52 of 1998) and section 70(2B) of the Short-term Insurance Act, 1998 (Act No 53 of 1998), recommends that the Council approve the said draft regulations.
