Second progress report of the Portfolio Committee on Sport and Recreation on shortlisting of candidates to serve on an independent board to hear and decide on appeals against decisions made in terms of the Safety at Sports and Recreational Events Act (Sasrea), Act 2 of 2010, dated 26 August 2015

 

The Portfolio Committee on Sport and Recreation has received verification results for Mr M India and Mr L T Nevondwe, who had been nominated to serve on the Sasrea Appeal Board in terms of the Safety at Sports and Recreational Events Act (Sasrea), Act 2 of 2010.

 

Verification results have thus been received for all of the 15 shortlisted candidates, namely:

 

Ms Andrineth Lethabo Mokoena; Mr Malatse Stephen Pila; Mr Claude Ashwin Bassuday; Ms Nonthandazo Fortunate Mdanda; Mr Frederick Baruti Komane; Adv Derick Jeffrey Block; Ms Thembeka Semane; Mr Khehla Humphrey Khoza; Mr Rhulani Howard Ndobela; Dr William Peter Rowland; Mr Vuyani Ndara; Prof Eugene Pierre Janse van Vuuren; Mr Ramesh Vassen; Mr Mongezi Gladstone India and Adv Lufuno Tokyo Nevondwe.
