An Order of the Constitutional Court, Case CCT 116/14, dated 13 August 2014 and Judgment and Recommendation of the Electoral Court of South Africa, Case Number EC 05/14, dated 18 June 2014 was referred to the Portfolio Committee on Home Affairs on 26 August 2014.

Prior to the Committee considering the matter, Adv P Tlakula submitted her resignation from the Electoral Commission on 1 September 2014.

In lieu of the resignation of Adv Tlakula , the Committee recommends that the above matter not be proceeded with.
