Report of the Portfolio Committee on Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries on the invitation by the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries to nominate candidates to serve on the National Agricultural Marketing Council (NAMC), dated 11 September 2014

The Portfolio Committee on Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, having considered the request by the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries to the National Assembly to nominate suitable candidates to serve on the National Agricultural Marketing Council (NAMC), referred to it for consideration on 13 August 2014 (see ATC, 13 August 2014), reports as follows:

After deliberating on 26 August, 02 and 09 September 2014, the Committee recommends to the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, in accordance with Section 4 (2) (a) & (b) and 4 (4) (a) of the Marketing of Agricultural Products Act, (Act No. 47 of 1996) as amended by Acts No. 59 of 1997 and No. 52 of 2001 , that the following candidates be nominated to serve on the National Agricultural Marketing Council:

1. Mr Isaac Bheki Mgidi

2. Ms Sebina Hlapolosa
