Report of the Ad Hoc Committee on the Protection of State Information Bill in terms of rule 255 of the National Assembly

The Protection of State Information Bill [B6B-2010], having been recommitted in terms of Rule 254 (5)(a), to the Ad Hoc Committee on Protection of Information Bill by a Resolution of the National Assembly of 16 November 2011, reports as follows:

The Committee considered the proposed amendments to the Protection of State Information Bill [B6B – 2010] in terms of National Assembly Rule 255.

All the proposed amendments which appeared on the Order Paper dated Tuesday, 15 November 2011 under the name of Mr M G Oriani-Ambrosini were considered individually and voted upon individually by the Committee. All the proposed amendments were rejected by all members of the Committee, save for Mr M G Oriani-Ambrosini .

The Committee, therefore, reports the Bill without amendments [B6B-2010].
