Sixth report of the Committee on Public Accounts on the Report of the Auditor-General on the 2011/12 Financial Statements of the Public Service Commission, dated 20 August  2013.

1. INTRODUCTION

 

The Committee on Public Accounts (the Committee), having received and considered the Annual Report and the Report of the Auditor-General (A-G) on the financial statements of the Public Service Commission for the year ended 31 March 2012, tabled in Parliament and referred to it, reports as follows:

 

1. AUDIT OPINION

 

The Committee noted the unqualified audit opinion expressed by the Auditor-General. The Committee commends the entity for its financial management and urges the Department to maintain and improve the current standards to ensure positive audit outcomes in the future.

 

3. CONCLUSION

 

The Committee is of the view that no further interaction with the Accounting Officer of the Public Service Commission is necessary for the financial year under review given the information to date.

 

The Committee therefore awaits the next Annual Report and the Report of the Auditor -General.
