With
regard to the Arms Deal, I propose that SCOPA resolves to investigate and
undertakes to report to Parliament on the following three matters:
- Review all progress
made on the recommendations contained in SCOPA’s 14th Report of
October 2000 and the 15th and 16th Reports of
November and December 2001.
- Review the claims
made by Andrew Feinstein in his book “After the Party”, to ascertain their
truth or falsity,
- To review progress
made specifically in respect of paragraph C 3 (‘Findings and recommendations”)
and paragraph D 3 (“Concluding Remarks” contained in the 15th
Report of SCOPA dated 11 December 2001) that specifically deal with
possible cases of corruption.
And
in pursuance of the above three objectives, SCOPA calls for documents, and
invites witnesses to testify.
