What total number of section 49G applications in terms of the Correctional Services Act, Act No 111 of 1998, (a) were received by magistrates’ courts and (b) that were received, were (i) considered and (ii) granted or approved from 1 March 2023 to 29 February 2024 per magisterial district?
Reply:
The total number of section 49G applications in terms of the Correctional Services Act, Act No 111 of 1998, that (a) were received by magistrates’ courts and (b) that were received, were (i) considered and (ii) granted or approved from 1 March 2023 to 29 February 2024 per magisterial district are categorised per province as per below table.
1 EASTERN CAPE
There were no applications received nor granted in all courts in Eastern Cape in respect 49 G of the Correctional Services Act, Act 111 of 1998 from the 1 March 2023 to 29 February 2024.
