1. (a). What (i) progress has been made with the project to preserve and declare the Old Ramkraaal Prison a heritage site and (ii) amount was budgeted for the specified project and (b) how the funds were dispersed? 2. Whether progress has been made in recovering funds unlawfully lost in the project; if not, why not?
Reply:
1. The Old Ramkraal Prison is a Provincial Heritage site which falls under the Free State Provincial Department of Sports, Arts, Culture and Recreation (DSACR).
I would recommend that the Honourable Member request the information directly from the Department of Sports, Arts, Culture and Recreation in the Free State Province.
