Thembekwayo, Dr S to ask the Minister of Health
(1) What (a) was the budget for maintenance for the Victoria Hospital in the Eastern Cape in the past three financial years and (b) amount was spent in each specified financial year; (2) Whether the specified hospital still has maintenance challenges; if not, what is the position in this regard; if so, what are the relevant details?
Reply:
- 2016/17: R21 000;
2017/18: R754 000;
2018/19: R468 000;
2. Presently maintenance is going on for renovations of doctors’ accommodation (20 bedded), leaking roofs, repairs of main sewer line and demolishing of unsafe buildings
