SUMMARY
The Committee adopted various oversight visit reports. It was the current Chairperson’s last official meeting as Chairperson, as he was being deployed to another Committee. Ms T Tobias (ANC) was elected as the new Committee Chairperson, in absentia.
 
MINUTES
Committee Report on Limpopo Province visit
The Committee had discussed the Report at the previous meeting.  The Report was adopted with amendments.

Committee Report on North West Province visit
The Chairperson put the Report forward to the Members. It was adopted with amendments.

Committee Report on Pilot / Show Houses at Acacia Park Visit
The Chairperson stated that this Report had already been provisionally adopted last year.  The Report was adopted by Members, without amendments.

Committee Report on Mpumalanga visit
The Committee adopted the Report, without amendments.

Committee Report on Northern Cape visit
The Chairperson noted that the Report had already been discussed.  It was adopted with amendments.

Committee Report on Free State visit
The Report was adopted, with amendments.

Committee Report on KZN visit
The Chairperson called for amendments.  The Report was adopted with amendments.

Committee Report on Gauteng visit
The Report was adopted without amdnements.
 
Departing remarks by the current Chairperson
The Chairperson thanked Members for their support and stepped down as the Committee Chairperson.

Ms Akona Busakwe, Committee Secretary, announced to the members that because the Chairperson had moved, a new Chairperson would need to be elected. Members were called upon to nominate candidates.  Members agreed that Ms T Tobias (ANC) would be the new Chairperson.  Ms Busakwe announced that the Committee would need an Acting Chairperson as Ms Tobias was currently in absentia.  Members elected Ms N D Ngcengwane (ANC) the Acting Chairperson.

The Acting Chairperson thanked proposed the closure of the meeting as there were no further issues to discuss.

The meeting was adjourned.
