MINUTES
The Parliament researcher took the Committee to the Current Expenditure and informed the Committee that all the sentences in bold letters were the statements from the National Treasury report. He went through the document from department to department and stating the figures of each departments spending and giving reasons for their over or under spending. Committee Members raised certain errors on the document and asked the researcher to polish the report so that it can be considered for adoption.

Members of the Committee also showed great concern about the lack of information on Parliament current expenditure and asked the researcher to consult the treasury about that matter.
 
The Members also raised concerns about the use of the word “savings” by certain departments in their budget reports and they proposed to change the word to under spending.

The Committee asked the researcher to correct all errors in the report so that it can be considered for adoption as soon as possible.
