SUMMARY
Prior to the adoption of the Committee Programme, Members highlighted the need for two separate debates in the House, one for agriculture and the other for land affairs. She pledged to raise the matter with the Minister herself.

Members were requested to consider the Committee Report on the visit to the Eastern Cape, for possible adoption at a future meeting.
 
MINUTES
Adoption of First Term Programme
The Chair noted that the First Term Programme was adopted, subject to further amendments.

Members suggested that two separate debates be held in the House, viz. one for the agriculture and one for land affairs. The two were very different portfolio’s, and the time allocated was insufficient for both to be dealt with adequately in one timeslot.

The Chair took this into consideration and stated that she would put it to the Minister

Consideration of the Eastern Cape Oversight Report
The Chair asked Members to go through the report and to make recommendations where appropriate. The report would be adopted at a future meeting.
