SUMMARY
The Committee adopted its 2006 Annual Report and discussed its programme for 2007.  Oversights visits to KwaZulu Natal and Limpopo Province were finalised, and the upcoming visit by the Norwegian Delegation was discussed. The date for the workshop on the Jali Commission Report was also finalised.

Committee 2006 Annual Report
The Report was adopted by the Committee, without amendments.

Committee 2007 Programme
The Committee discussed its programme for the first term of 2007. It was decided that the programme needed to be flexible to accommodate international visits as well as local parliamentary commitments. Particular attention was given to the accommodation of the Norwegian Delegation’s visit to the Committee.

The visit to Limpopo Province and KwaZulu-Natal was discussed and dates were set, as reflected in the Committee Programme, while also leaving room for flexibility for the date to be changed in future.

The Workshop on the Jali Commission Report was fixed.
