SUMMARY
Members unanimously adopted the Committee report on the Department budget hearings, after suggesting minor technical amendments. The submissions included those of the SA African Rail Commuter Corporation, the Road Accident Fund and the SA Safety Authority.
MINUTES
The Committee discussed their report on the Department budget hearings. The hearings covered the Department as well as public entities such as the SA Rail Commuter Corporation, the Road Accident Fund and the SA Safety Authority. The report was adopted with minor amendments.
The Chairperson said that it was good that the Committee had raised policy issues. The final draft of the report would soon be published in Parliament's Announcements, Tablings, Committee Reports (ATCs). This was the last Committee meeting for the first semester.
The meeting was adjourned.
